Multiple OS
How many server Operating Systems will you be able to select from?
An Operating System is the low-level software that controls a PC. It handles the way your hardware functions, the communication with peripheral devices such as a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between apps, and the prioritization of apps if multiple ones run at once. Each and every program that is installed on a PC functions by sending requests to the OS for various services via an application program interface (API). The contact with the OS can be done through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the Internet hosting world, the Operating System is what runs a server together with all the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition any other application such as a VOIP or a game server. If there are virtual machines created, they work with a guest OS which is run on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We offer you as many as three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are among the safest and the most reliable OSs available on the market and we provide all three rather than just 1 as we realize that you might want to install some software that has specific requirements for the Operating System it shall run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there're various software programs you could install on the web server. Your OS selection will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you would like to use one and because of this we offer multiple Control Panels as well. In case you decide that you need to have another OS, our tech support team can quickly wipe the current one and set up the one that you'd like. We also offer an optional service to keep the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server solutions that we offer come with three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux distributions - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license charges, but they’re also regarded as the most stable and secure OSs. We supply three different ones as each one of them is supported by a different community. The packages which you can add on your hosting server are different and this could matter in case you need to install some piece of software with particular requirements about the hosting environment. In this light, the internet hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server also depends on the Operating System that you'll choose. You can select any of the three Operating Systems during the order procedure, however if necessary, we can always set up the server once again with another one upon your request. As an additional service that you could add to the plan any time, we can update your OS on a regular basis to keep it as risk-free as possible.
